This role sits within ABB's Robotics business, a leading global robotics company. We're entering an exciting new chapter as we’ve announced the plan for SoftBank Group to acquire ABB Robotics. This Position reports to: Application Engineering Manager - Industries Robotics

Core Responsibilities

• Work with sales to review customer requirements, propose and design robotic solutions.
• Showcase proof of concept and other demonstrations and presentations to customers.
• Ensure all solutions comply with customer specs and any code requirements.
• Collaborate with customers, internal teams and potentially third party to address any issues, handle any changes in proposal or other documentation and alignment on requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s in engineering or computer science with 5+ years in developing client/server applications
• Must be competent on Linux, Python, Java script, REST.
• Must be competent on AI modeling (data sets, labeling, training)
• Comfortable presenting and interacting with all levels of customers as well as peer teams (sales, project management, etc.)
• Mechatronic engineering knowledge is desirable
• Automation engineering knowledge is desirable.
