We are on a relentless mission to free the world from wasteful scheduling! Founded in 2023, we represent the exciting next chapter of OptaPlanner—the legendary, field-proven open-source project that laid the foundation for everything we build today.

Our open-source Solver and the Timefold Platform turn messy real-world constraints into optimal plans. Software teams use them to build scheduling and routing into their own products. Today our technology powers companies such as Lufthansa Technik, Deutsche Bahn, Thales and NEC. In June 2026 we raised a $13M Series A, and now we’re scaling the platform that brings all of this into production.

We are a technically sharp, deeply passionate team of over 40 people. While our headquarters are nestled in the iconic Wintercircus building in Ghent, Belgium, we operate as a remote-first team with vibrant hubs across Belgium, the Czech Republic, Brazil and the US.

About the role

As Chief Growth Officer, you report directly to the CEO, sit on the executive team and lead the growth of the platform that’s opening up scheduling optimization to millions of software builders.

This isn't a role three layers away from the decisions. You help shape company strategy, not just execute it: where we play, what we launch, how we price, and where we invest.

You have a real seat at the table on product priorities that drive growth, including onboarding and activation.

You bring the growth story to the board.

Decisions happen fast, in a small, senior team. Your ideas can be live in the market within weeks.

Key Responsibilities

The growth engine, end to end

• Own the self-serve journey from first discovery to sign-up, activation, paid conversion, and expansion, with clear targets at every stage.
• Co-own the activation roadmap with the Chief Product Officer: onboarding, quickstarts, trials, documentation, and in-product guidance that cut time to first value.
• Build an experimentation practice that learns fast, doubles down on what works, and stops what doesn't.

Pipeline and demand

• Set the demand generation strategy across channels, including SEO, content, paid, webinars, events, community, and partners, and put the budget where it creates pipeline.
• Agree pipeline targets with the Head of Sales and deliver on them, with shared definitions of a qualified lead.
• Fuel our near-term revenue motion in field service, and our partner ecosystem, with campaigns and enablement.

Positioning that scales

Timefold is already in production. Your job is to find which segments, messages, and entry points scale, and turn them into a repeatable motion.

• Lead product marketing: launches, use cases, competitive positioning, and input on pricing and packaging.
• Bring the voice of customers and the market into every leadership conversation.

A developer community that drives growth

• Build on a strong open-source heritage and turn the community into a measurable growth channel.
• Lead developer relations and make its impact on awareness, adoption, and pipeline visible.

A high-performance team

Lead and grow a team covering content, product marketing, growth marketing, digital experience, and developer relations.

Decide on structure, hiring, agencies, and budget, and build a culture of ownership, speed, and experimentation.

What you'll bring

• 8+ years in B2B growth or marketing, with real experience scaling a developer tools, open-source, SaaS, or infrastructure company.
• A track record of building a product-led, self-serve funnel and measurably moving its numbers.
• Credibility with developers. You understand how they discover, evaluate, and adopt technology.
• Experience leading and growing a team.
• Fluency with data, product analytics, and attribution. You know which numbers matter.
• A builder's mindset: you set the strategy on Monday and run the first experiment yourself on Tuesday.
• Excellent written and spoken English.

Bonus points

• A technical or engineering background.
• You've helped a company grow from its first few million in ARR to well beyond.
• Experience marketing AI products, or selling into both Europe and the US.
