Job Title: Business Development Manager (Sales and Marketing)

Job Description:

Sapiens is on the lookout for a Business Development Manager (Sales and Marketing) to become a key player in our North America Team. The Business Development Manager is responsible for generating and developing new business opportunities through inbound lead management, lead qualification, prospect engagement, and proactive follow-up. This individual will work closely with Sales and Marketing teams to convert inbound interest into qualified opportunities, build strong relationships with prospective customers, and support the growth of Sapiens’ sales pipeline. The role requires strong communication skills, a customer-focused approach, and the ability to effectively identify prospect needs and connect them with the appropriate Sapiens solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and respond to inbound leads and inquiries from prospective customers in a timely and professional manner
• Qualify inbound leads based on business needs, company profile, buying intent, and fit with Sapiens’ solutions
• Conduct discovery conversations with prospects to understand their business objectives, challenges, and technology requirements
• Engage prospects through phone, email, virtual meetings, and other appropriate communication channels
• Develop and maintain relationships with prospective customers throughout the early stages of the sales cycle
• Identify opportunities to introduce prospects to the appropriate Sapiens products, solutions, and sales representatives
• Schedule qualified meetings and demonstrations for Account Executives and other sales team members
• Follow up consistently with inbound prospects to maintain engagement and advance qualified opportunities
• Collaborate closely with Marketing to follow up on campaigns, events, website inquiries, content downloads, and other inbound sources
• Work with Sales to ensure qualified opportunities are properly transitioned and handed off
• Maintain accurate lead, prospect, activity, and opportunity information within CRM systems
• Track and report on inbound lead activity, qualification, conversion, and pipeline contribution
• Assist with identifying trends and opportunities to improve lead conversion and sales development processes
• Support sales and marketing initiatives designed to increase awareness, engagement, and qualified pipeline
• Stay informed on Sapiens’ products, solutions, industry developments, and competitive landscape
• Consistently achieve and exceed lead qualification, meeting generation, and pipeline contribution objectives.

Requirements:

• Minimum two plus years experience in business development, inside sales, sales development, lead generation, or a similar customer-facing sales role
• Experience managing inbound leads and qualifying prospects within a sales or business development environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage prospects and build professional relationships
• Ability to conduct effective discovery conversations and identify prospect needs and business challenges
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple inbound leads and follow-up activities
• Customer-focused and results-oriented approach with a strong interest in developing a career in sales
• Ability to work collaboratively with Sales, Marketing, and other internal teams
• Strong proficiency in CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and other sales and communication tools
• Strong written, verbal, presentation, and analytical skills
• Good problem-solving, listening, and relationship-building skills
• Experience within the insurance technology or software industry preferred
• Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent professional experience will be considered.
• Willingness to participate in virtual customer and prospect meetings as required.
