IPX Power, a clean energy company, develops, owns, and operates some of the world’s largest energy resources, delivering affordable, reliable power to utilities and other customers. We are in a rapid growth phase with 4.3 GW of solar PV and 8.8 GWh of battery storage in construction or operation, with more projects under various stages of development.
IPX is a profitable, well capitalized, independent power producer that has delivered billions of dollars of industrial-scale clean energy infrastructure. The company was recently formed as a spin-out of Intersect, as a result of their recent acquisition by Google. IPX is supported by long-standing existing investors TPG Rise Climate, Climate Adaptive Infrastructure, and Greenbelt Capital Partners.
IPX is rooted in a culture of collaboration, creativity, and operational excellence. We are building and operating billions of dollars in assets and seeking people eager to develop, build, and operate one of the world’s largest renewables and storage portfolios.
The role will support operating utility-scale power generation projects with compliance work, primarily involving NERC processes and regulatory requirements. Its baseline focus is NERC compliance, with exposure to ISOs/RTOs and PUC regulations. The position is intended for an analyst who can develop in the role and contribute to operating assets, including projects such as Easley and Darden. The role is expected to begin with a limited project assignment and expand as the individual gains experience. The person will help identify how activities at operating sites affect regulatory obligations and will contribute to responses to regulator requests for information.
Support operating projects with NERC processes and other compliance tasks; help curate responses to regulators' requests for information; stay apprised of site activities; and assess whether activities create regulatory compliance impacts, obligations, or process requirements. The role will also involve understanding the regulatory requirements that apply during project operations and completing compliance work needed before projects move into operations.
The role will initially support 2 or 3 sites before widening its scope. Current work is focused on assets in operations, while exposure to project onboarding includes the transition from construction to operations.
Will interact with regulators, operating-site personnel, legal or regulatory teams, operations teams, and colleagues involved in cybersecurity and SCADA.
We care about your well-being, growth, and balance. Here’s how we support you:
Ready to take ownership of critical clean energy assets and help drive reliable performance? Apply now and play a key role in powering the transition to renewable energy.
