Job Description

As a member of Zensar's SAP practice, you will work closely with functional consultants, architects, and AI engineering teams to deliver high‑quality ABAP code for S/4HANA landscapes. You will be responsible for end‑to‑end development, integration, and support of RICEFW objects, OData services, and AI‑enabled extensions, ensuring compliance with ATC standards and agile delivery practices.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design, develop, test, and deploy ABAP solutions for SAP S/4HANA.
  • Create and enhance RICEFW objects (reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, forms, workflows).
  • Build OData services, CDS views, RAP applications and APIs.
  • Perform code reviews, performance tuning, ATC compliance and unit testing.
  • Manage transports and support change management.
  • Develop integrations with external systems using REST, SOAP, and SAP Gateway.
  • Work with SAP ADT/Eclipse and modern development tools.
  • Collaborate with functional consultants, architects and AI engineering teams.
  • Enable AI‑assisted development via MCP servers and AI copilots.
  • Provide production support, troubleshooting and continuous improvement.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5‑10 years of hands‑on ABAP development experience, including OOABAP.
  • Proven experience with SAP S/4HANA, CDS, OData, AMDP/HANA SQL.
  • Strong knowledge of enhancements (BADI, User‑Exits, BTE) and SAP Workflow/Forms.
  • Experience with SAP ADT, Eclipse, and transport management.
  • Integration expertise: REST, SOAP, SAP Gateway, BTP integration.
  • Familiarity with Model Context Protocol (MCP) and AI‑assisted development tools (e.g., Claude, GitHub Copilot).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or related field; SAP ABAP/S/4HANA certification preferred.
  • Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Ability to mentor junior developers and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
  • Exposure to SAP BTP, RAP, and AI‑enabled SAP solutions is a plus.
