The company is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) to lead enterprise Generative AI implementation projects.

The company develops proprietary LLMs with strengths in the Japanese language and provides enterprise AI solutions combining LLMs, high-accuracy RAG, and AI agents. The company has already implemented its solutions at more than 300 companies, including major enterprises.

In this position, you will be responsible for the entire process, from customer proposals and requirements definition to architecture design, PoC, implementation, and production deployment. This role spans Solution Architecture, technical consulting, project leadership, and hands-on development.

Job Responsibilities

• Understand customer business challenges and translate them into technical and system requirements
• Provide technical support and technical consulting for new proposals
• Assess technical feasibility, system constraints, development scope, and required resources
• Design architectures and develop technical roadmaps for Generative AI solutions
• Lead projects from PoC through production deployment from a technical perspective
• Develop solutions utilizing LLMs, RAG, AI agents, and related technologies
• Collaborate with consultants, backend engineers, data scientists, SREs, and other team members
• Participate hands-on in prototype development and implementation
• Apply technical knowledge gained through customer projects to product and platform improvements

Requirements

Required

• System development experience at an SIer or in commissioned/custom development projects
• Practical experience in system design and implementation
• Ability to independently research, validate, and solve unfamiliar technical challenges
• Ability to understand architecture diagrams and system constraints and determine appropriate implementation approaches
• Experience communicating directly with customers and solving business challenges through technology
• Ability to handle both technical consulting and hands-on development
• Ability to communicate smoothly in business-level Japanese, including technical topics
• Ability to reside in Japan

Preferred

• Professional experience as a Solution Architect
• Experience with Generative AI or RAG-related projects
• Knowledge of infrastructure architecture
• Experience with AWS, Azure, Docker, Terraform, or related technologies
• Experience breaking down technical requirements and defining the necessary engineering resources
• Experience working on projects at a startup or venture company

Expected Annual Salary: ¥7,500,000 - ¥15,000,000
