Are you a passionate HR professional eager to make a meaningful impact in a dynamic and fast-paced environment? Do you excel at collaborating with business leaders to deliver people-focused solutions that drive organisational success? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join First Actuarial, a Gallagher company, as an Interim HR Business Partner – People & Culture on a 12-month fixed-term contract. In this role, you’ll partner with business leaders to deliver practical, commercially focused HR solutions that drive organisational success. You’ll play a key role in embedding people processes, building manager capability, and ensuring consistent, high-quality delivery across the business.

How you'll make an impact

• Business Partnering & Leader Support: Collaborate with leaders to understand priorities, provide practical advice, and support team performance, engagement, and structure.
• Talent & Performance: Deliver core people processes, including performance management, talent reviews, and compensation cycles, while using data to inform decisions.
• Employee Relations: Provide guidance on employee relations matters, manage cases, and coach managers to handle issues effectively and consistently.
• People Processes: Ensure timely and consistent delivery of HR processes, working closely with Centres of Excellence and shared services.
• Change & Organisational Support: Support organisational changes, team restructures, and integration activities while maintaining engagement and clarity.
• Insight & Continuous Improvement: Use people data and feedback to identify trends, share insights, and drive improvements.

• Managers feel confident and capable in handling people matters.
• People processes are delivered consistently and on time.
• Employee relations cases are managed effectively, reducing risk.
• Key people metrics (e.g., attrition, engagement, performance) are understood and acted upon.
• HR support is seen as pragmatic, responsive, and aligned with business needs.

About You

• Background: Junior HRBP, People Partner, or HR Advisor role.
• Qualifications: CIPD or equivalent experience.
• Expertise: In-depth knowledge of UK employment law and HR practices, coupled with strong skills in process improvement and change management.
• Skills: Exceptional relationship-building and communication abilities, with confidence in leveraging data to inform and support recommendations.
• Mindset: A practical, solutions-focused approach paired with sound judgement, complemented by a customer-centric attitude that embodies professionalism and discretion.
• Ability: To effectively manage multiple priorities while thriving in a fast-paced environment.

Location and Travel:

This role offers the flexibility to be home-based within the UK. However, occasional travel will be required, including attendance at the monthly HR meetings and ad hoc travel to meet specific business needs, such as supporting Employee Relations cases.
