The Key Purpose of this role

is to lead the Operators and Shift Artisan in the execution of the production plan, executing quality control and analyses, the carrying out of autonomous maintenance tasks and the resolution of production problems.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Optimise Production Performance & Processes
  • Co-ordinate and perform scheduled maintenance.
  • Monitor production processes.
  • Interpret and implement production plan for shift.
  • Ensure and maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Build and foster relationships with customers and preferred suppliers.
  • Perform Administration
  • Ensure application of admin systems and procedures.
  • Administer conditions of employment for team members.
  • Contribute to self and team development.
  • Prepare and control budgets.
  • Facilitate Team Problem Solving and Decision Making
  • Apply problem solving and decision making techniques and principles.
  • Facilitate team problem solving.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Grade 12, National Diploma or equivalent in engineering, N6 Engineering studies plus Trade Test qualification
  • B /Tech or BSc Degree
  • Completed AB InBev traineeship
  • Min -SAP and Voyager Plant Optimisation (VPO)
  • Experience in a AB InBev process environment
  • Supervisory level experience
  • Be able to work shifts
  • Experience of managing and running a high speed packaging line would be highly advantageous
