Overview

The Vietnam Business Development team is responsible for driving Mastercard's growth agenda across issuing, acquiring, acceptance, digital payments, commercial solutions, and strategic partnerships. We work closely with financial institutions, fintechs, merchants, government stakeholders, and internal cross-functional teams to identify opportunities, deepen customer relationships, and accelerate market development.

The team is looking for an Analyst, Business Development to support the execution of Mastercard's business growth strategy in Vietnam. The successful candidate will provide analytical, commercial, and operational support to the country business development team, helping identify growth opportunities, prepare client proposals, monitor portfolio performance, and support strategic initiatives that strengthen Mastercard's position in the market.

Role

The Analyst, Business Development will:

  • Support the execution of business development plans aligned with Mastercard's Vietnam market objectives.
  • Conduct market, customer, and competitive analysis to identify growth opportunities and emerging trends.
  • Analyze portfolio performance and prepare business insights, dashboards, reports, and recommendations for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assist in the development of client presentations, business cases, proposals, and commercial agreements.
  • Support relationship management activities with banks, fintechs, merchants, government entities, and strategic partners.
  • Coordinate with internal teams including Product, Marketing, Finance, Franchise, Legal, and Customer Delivery to support client initiatives and project execution.
  • Track pipeline opportunities, revenue performance, and key business metrics.
  • Maintain accurate records of client opportunities, account plans, and business development activities.
  • Support the preparation of executive reviews, business updates, and strategic planning discussions.
  • Contribute to special projects that drive market expansion, innovation, customer engagement, and payment ecosystem development.
  • Assist in identifying process improvements that enhance efficiency and client experience.
  • Ensure compliance with Mastercard policies, procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements.

All About You

The ideal candidate for this position should:

  • Have experience in business development, sales support, product management, consulting, strategy, financial services, payments, fintech, or a related field.
  • Possess strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with the ability to interpret data and generate actionable insights.
  • Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Vietnamese.
  • Be comfortable preparing executive-level presentations, reports, and business recommendations.
  • Have strong project coordination and stakeholder management skills.
  • Demonstrate attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; experience with data visualization and analytical tools is an advantage.
  • Have a customer-first mindset and a strong interest in payments, digital commerce, and financial technology.
  • Be self-motivated, intellectually curious, and eager to learn.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work effectively both independently and within cross-functional teams.
  • Hold a bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Marketing, Management, Data Analytics, or a related discipline.
