JOB OVERVIEW

Warehouse Operations Associate

The Warehouse Operations Associate is responsible for the efficient organization, receiving, storage, and retrieval of materials within the OBX warehouse facility. Reporting to the Maintenance & Facilities Manager, this day shift role executes daily logistics requirements, optimizes warehouse processes, manages inventory flow, drives 5S and workplace organization, and supports multi-departmental production and fulfillment goals.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

• Inventory Placement: Move and store inventory in designated warehouse locations to maintain organization and accessibility.
• Hazardous Materials Handling: Safely handle, move, and store hazardous materials in accordance with SOPs and safety guidelines.
• Warehouse Cleanup & 5S: Maintain cleanliness and implement 5S standards across warehouse spaces, loading docks, and chemical storage pads.
• Material Movement & Unloading: Assist with moving materials and unloading trucks, operating equipment in accordance with SOPs and safety requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Prior warehouse experience and forklift proficiency (previous certification preferred).
• High degree of attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
• Computer literacy and ability to navigate ERP and inventory tracking systems.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal team skills.
• Ability to execute assigned tasks efficiently with minimal supervision.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

High School Diploma or equivalent REQUIRED.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Ability to regularly lift, carry, and balance up to 50–70 lbs.
• Ability to walk and stand for extended periods (4–8 hours) with frequent bending, kneeling, and reaching.
• Comfort working around heavy machinery, plant materials, airborne particles, and hazardous materials with appropriate PPE.
• Ability to work in varying climate conditions with moderately high noise levels.

Compensation: $17.00-$20.00 per hour
