What It's Like to Practice Here

At CareVet of Williamsburg, we believe great veterinary medicine starts with a supportive team and an environment where doctors can thrive.

Your days will include a mix of wellness visits, sick appointments, surgery, and dentistry while working alongside experienced colleagues and a dedicated support team.

We value giving our veterinarians the time and resources to think through cases, communicate with clients, and provide thoughtful, individualized care.

For experienced veterinarians, you'll have the autonomy to manage your cases and practice medicine confidently, with a collaborative team available whenever another perspective is helpful.

For new graduates, you'll have the opportunity to build your confidence, strengthen your clinical skills, and learn alongside experienced veterinarians who are happy to share their knowledge and support your development.

Whether you're just beginning your veterinary career or bringing years of experience, we want you to feel supported, valued, and excited about the medicine you're practicing.

If you're interested in exotic animal medicine, there's also an opportunity to incorporate it into your caseload — but exotics are completely optional!

You'll have access to the tools and clinical support needed to provide quality patient care, including:

  • Ultrasound
  • Digital dental radiography
  • Dedicated surgical suite
  • Experienced clinical support staff
  • Small animal and optional exotic caseload

Our established client base and variety of cases offer opportunities to continue developing your skills, pursue your clinical interests, and build meaningful relationships with clients and their pets.

Who We're Looking For

We're excited to welcome both experienced veterinarians and new graduates who are passionate about patient care and enjoy working as part of a team.

This opportunity could be a great fit if you:

  • Enjoy wellness, sick visits, surgery, and dentistry
  • Value collaboration and strong technician support
  • Are eager to continue learning and growing professionally
  • Appreciate having experienced DVM colleagues to collaborate with
  • Enjoy building long-term client and patient relationships
  • Want a predictable schedule with no weekend shifts
