  • Clinical leader that assumes accountability for patient care outcomes by assimilating and applying research in the design, implementation, and evaluation of the patient plan of care on a specific nursing inpatient unit (or units) within Franciscan Alliance.
  • This position acts as a clinical resource to staff members providing insight and expertise into complex care issues.
  • Works with the Manager of Nursing, and the Clinical Educator in leading the nursing clinical practice area at the microsystem level.
  • Collaborates with the systems-based Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) at the macro system level and other members of the Healthcare team to coordinate and guide clinical activities/projects within the microsystem (facility or unit within a facility) that align with macro system level programs.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A team-oriented RN willing to be flexible and dynamic in meeting patient care needs
  • Master’s Degree - With approval of nursing manager/director applicant may be currently enrolled in or agree to enroll in an applicable nursing program as mentioned above and complete master’s program within 3 years
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid license to practice in the state or as listed in the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC)
  • 2 years of experience
