Travel tours sales agent

Position Summary:

The Sales Agent will be responsible for receiving and/or making calls to of from customers to discuss our promotional offerings. The Sales Agent will pitch highly discounted or complimentary vacation packages over the phone. They will also be responsible for providing excellent customer service, along with maintaining your individual and team sales goals.

Responsibilities/Duties:

• Assist guests with inquiries relating to the package they have already purchased and information regarding their upcoming vacation.
• Provide complete and accurate information to guests on every telephone call. Especially information about transportation, accommodations, premiums, and promotions.
• Confirm reservations and details of the guest package.
• Take escalation calls diffusing the situation with guest when needed.
• Handle and resolve situations with dissatisfied guests in a timely manner.
• Maintain an upbeat, positive, and motivated demeanor especially when interacting with guests, coworkers, and managers.
• Persuade guest to book certain property months according to goals that are established.
• Answer calls from guests who have booked packages who are wanting to make date changes and respond to questions concerning their upcoming vacation.
• Confirm reservations and details of the guest package.
• Handle and resolve situations with dissatisfied guests in a timely manner.

Key Skills/Qualifications:

• Minimum of 4 year customer service, call center or related experience
• High School Diploma or equivalent level of education
• Highly motivated, self-starter
• Capable of articulating professionally to customers
• Ability to effectively manage time, a strong sense of urgency applied to all tasks
• Must be able to effectively analyze and interpret data
• Possess strong reading comprehension and written communication skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Proven internet and computer software skills
• Basic data entry skills
• Proper note taking ability
• Able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
