POSITION SUMMARY

As a Project Manager in the Deloitte Technology-US (DT-US) Office of the CIO (OCIO) PMO team, you will apply sound project-management practices to support delivery of major internal technology initiatives. You will independently lead projects and small programs, ensuring work is planned, coordinated, and delivered on schedule, within budget, and to the expected quality standards.

The DT-US PMO is part of the Office of the CIO and supports technology strategy and transformational initiatives across AI, Cloud, Cyber, and other enterprise capabilities for Deloitte's professionals.

Recruiting for this role ends on 2/26/2027.

Work you'll do

As a DT-US PMO Project Manager, you will lead assigned projects and small programs from initiation through delivery and closure. You will manage scope, schedules, milestones, resources, budgets, risks, issues, dependencies, and stakeholder communications; identify and address delivery concerns early; and maintain clear, actionable reporting for sponsors and delivery teams.

You will build practical knowledge of the business area, technology, and delivery objectives for your assigned work. On larger or more complex programs, you will partner with a Program Manager or Associate Director and take ownership of defined projects or workstreams. You will also contribute to the PMO's evolving methods, templates, tools, and ways of working.

Responsibilities include

  • Independently lead cross-functional projects and straightforward programs, driving delivery of agreed scope, milestones, and outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain integrated project plans, schedules, workstream dependencies, and delivery metrics; monitor progress and take timely corrective action.
  • Coordinate project resources, identify capacity conflicts, and work with stakeholders to resolve issues affecting delivery.
  • Manage project risks and issues, develop mitigation and remediation plans, and escalate material concerns through the appropriate PMO and program channels.
  • Prepare clear, audience-appropriate status reports, dashboards, and decision materials for sponsors, stakeholders, and PMO leadership.
  • Track project budgets, forecasts, and variances, and support actions needed to maintain financial discipline.
  • Build effective working relationships with business, product, technical, and delivery stakeholders to maintain alignment and facilitate decisions.
  • Support more senior PMO leaders on complex programs by owning defined projects or workstreams and contributing to planning, risk management, and stakeholder coordination.
  • Apply established PMO methods and tools consistently and identify practical opportunities to improve delivery processes, templates, and team collaboration.

The successful candidate will be able to:

  • Ability to work independently and collaborate as part of a team
  • Meticulous attention to detail and quality of work product
  • Ability to build and sustain professional relationships across teams
  • Ability to lead projects or workstreams
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills and professional demeanor
  • Apply sound business judgment to shape recommendations and drive informed decision-making
  • Connect activities across teams and initiatives to ensure leadership messaging and actions align
  • Ability to meet deadlines and proactively manage timeline risks
  • Ability to provide clear guidance to others

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of relevant project or program management experience supporting cross-functional IT initiatives using structured project-management methods and tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently manage project scope, schedules, milestones, resources, risks, issues, dependencies, and stakeholder communications.
  • Experience working with Agile and/or other software delivery methodologies and a solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Proficiency with project-management and reporting tools, such as MS Project & Planner, Azure DevOps, or ServiceNow.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Ability to travel 0-10%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.
  • Limited immigration sponsorship may be available.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong organizational, analytical, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience with project or program financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, or variance tracking.
  • Experience working in a matrixed professional-services organization or consulting environment.
  • Strong risk-mitigation, stakeholder-management, prioritization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working with blended onshore/offshore delivery teams.

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $88,000 to $163,000.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
