Teacher's assistant

About the Role:

STEER LLC in Buckeye, AZ is looking for a passionate and dedicated Teacher's Assistant to join their team! This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of students while working alongside experienced educators in a supportive learning environment.

Responsibilities:

• Support lead teachers in delivering daily lesson plans and classroom instruction
• Provide one-on-one and small group assistance to students who need additional support
• Help maintain a safe, organized, and positive classroom environment
• Monitor and document student progress and behavior
• Assist with preparing instructional materials, activities, and classroom resources
• Communicate effectively with teachers, staff, and parents regarding student needs
• Supervise students during transitions, lunch, recess, or other non-instructional periods

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED required; some college coursework in education preferred
• Prior experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting is a plus
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Patient, nurturing, and adaptable demeanor with a passion for student success
• Ability to follow directions and collaborate effectively with lead teachers and staff
• Must pass a background check as required by Arizona state regulations
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain
