Position Summary

Under the direction of a member of the IS management team, performs assigned entry level IS tasks consistent with the educational course work of either a graduate or undergraduate student working towards a degree in computer-related field.

The target salary for this position is XXXXXXXXX. The target salary is based on internal averages. Versiti sets salary ranges aligned to local markets in which the job is performed. Compensation decisions take into account internal salary averages and differentiation based on education, experience, skills, and performance. Responsibilities

As part of the work experience in Information Systems, the Trainee gains an understanding and assists Information Systems staff in installing, maintaining, upgrading, and decommissioning network hardware and software. Also may include:

• Desktop computers and their maintenance
• Networks and their maintenance
• Server configuration and maintenance
• Network/Server monitoring methods and tools
• Service Desk operations and management
• Application development and maintenance

Assist with special projects as assigned. Maintains the customer service standards of the department and Versiti. Communicates clearly and respectfully with customers, donors, and colleagues, sharing all necessary information. Works effectively with team members, contributing to team efforts. Supports Versiti’s mission, vision, and values as well as department goals and objectives. Performs other duties as assigned. Complies with all policies and standards.

Qualifications

Education

High School graduate currently pursuing a degree in a computer-related field. required

Experience

No previous work experience is required, but a variety of computer/PC experience preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Ability to represent the IS Department in a professional manner. required
