Job Description

We are partnering with a growing organization in Flowery Branch seeking a Staff Accountant to join its accounting team. This onsite opportunity is ideal for an experienced accounting professional who enjoys taking ownership of the month-end close process, financial reporting, and general ledger accounting while working in a collaborative environment. The Staff Accountant will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records, supporting compliance with accounting standards, and partnering with cross-functional teams to improve accounting processes and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger activity
  • Lead month-end and year-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
  • Prepare financial statements and supporting schedules for management review
  • Analyze financial results and investigate account variances
  • Maintain compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis as needed
  • Support internal and external audit requests by preparing documentation and schedules
  • Monitor and improve internal controls and accounting procedures
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to support operational and financial initiatives
  • Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiencies
  • Assist with special projects and other accounting responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • 2+ years of progressive accounting experience
