Job Summary

The Senior Manager, Transmission Customer Services, Risk & Reliability provides strategic leadership for Entergy’s Transmission Customer Services organization and Transmission Risk & Reliability functions. The role leads customer engagement for Tier 1 industrial, nuclear, and specially designated transmission‑served customers while driving system reliability, risk‑mitigation practices, execution readiness, and cross‑functional operational alignment across Power Delivery. The leader ensures customer expectations, transmission asset maintenance, operating event reviews, and risk‑management processes are consistently applied to support safe, reliable, and customer‑focused transmission service.

Works closely with key Entergy partners such as Asset Management, Planning, Operations, Engineering, Project Management & Construction, and Operating Company leadership teams including Economic Development, Industrial Accounts, Distribution Operations, and Large Power Services.
  • Customer Engagement & Communication Excellence: Engages customers effectively, demonstrating genuine interest in their business and service expectations. Clearly communicates and rolls up information to convey complex issues at a high level. Strong aptitude for performance monitoring, commercial agreements, customer advocacy, and strategic communication. Understands the Entergy organization and how its teams work collectively to support customer needs.
  • Visible Leadership Presence: Demonstrates strong executive presence with employees and customers. Asks probing questions, drives accountability, and moves the organization toward effective decision‑making and action.
  • Knowledge Platform & Learning Aptitude: Possesses a solid foundational knowledge platform with the ability and interest to learn deeper technical, commercial, and process‑related topics. Able to conceptualize issues, understand root‑cause drivers, communicate complex subjects clearly, and navigate enterprise processes to solve problems and support strategic initiatives.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree Engineering required. Preferred: Electrical Engineering degree or MBA
  • Minimum Experience: Minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible experience in the utility industry. Managerial supervisory experience required as part of progressive responsibilities. Preferred: Experience with Transmission and MISO tariffs.
  • Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Excellent leadership skills to guide, mentor, and build an organization; Strong communicator both at tactical and strategic levels with experience discussing complex topics in a simple, easy-to-understand way; Demonstrated teamwork skills and ability to execute projects in a matrix organization; Strong, demonstrated writing and presentation skills.
