Position Overview

Forest Lake Club is seeking a motivated hospitality student for a three-month Rotational Food & Beverage Internship. This hands-on position provides experience across the Club’s Events, Dining Room, and Lakeside Grille operations, giving the intern a well-rounded introduction to private club hospitality and member service.

Responsibilities

The intern will rotate through key Food & Beverage departments and assist with:

• Private events, weddings, and member event planning and execution
• Banquet setup, event timelines, BEOs, and vendor coordination
• Formal and casual dining operations
• Member and guest service
• Reservations, table settings, menu knowledge, and service flow
• Event marketing, signage, and promotional materials
• Jonas Club Management and event diagramming software
• Daily opening, closing, preparation, and operational responsibilities
• Cross-departmental communication and special projects

• Current student pursuing Hospitality Management, Event Management, Food & Beverage Management, or a related field
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Professional, dependable, and team-oriented
• Enthusiastic about hospitality and providing exceptional service
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule based on Club and event needs
• Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality

Internship Experience

Throughout the program, the intern will work alongside Club managers and staff while developing practical skills in food and beverage operations, event management, member service, administration, and hospitality. The internship concludes with a final project and evaluation designed to demonstrate the knowledge and experience gained throughout the rotations.
