Position Summary

As the Banquet Manager, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring the seamless execution of events. This is a working management position that requires a strong presence on the floor, excellent communication skills, and attention to detail. Reporting to the Catering Director, you’ll collaborate closely with the Chef, management team, banquet staff, bartenders, and other departments to ensure every event is perfectly planned, executed, and wrapped up.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and understand Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) prior to each event.
• Oversee room setup, ensuring all event details (tables, chairs, linens, place settings, buffets, bars, audiovisual equipment) are completed as specified.
• Lead pre-shift meetings and assign staff responsibilities.
• Supervise banquet servers, bartenders, and support staff to maintain professional and consistent service.
• Communicate with the kitchen regarding timing, guest counts, dietary restrictions, and last-minute changes.
• Maintain close communication with the Catering Director about event details and client requests.
• Be present and available throughout events to assist members, guests, and staff.
• Monitor service standards, staff professionalism, and guest interactions to ensure a top-tier experience.
• Anticipate and resolve potential issues before they impact the guest experience.
• Oversee the breakdown and proper storage of equipment post-event.
• Confirm banquet side work and closing duties are completed before releasing employees.
• Ensure event spaces are clean, organized, and prepared for the next function.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in banquet or event management.
