The Senior Project Manager leads Thrash's largest and most complex individual projects, owning the full financial, contractual, and delivery performance of the work from preconstruction handoff through closeout. As the senior leader of the project team, the Senior Project Manager directs Project Managers and support staff to deliver the project on time, on budget, and to the Thrash standard.

This is a senior project-management role for a Project Manager who can independently run major commercial projects and lead a team through them. The Senior Project Manager manages owner contracts and project financials, drives the schedule and buyout, coordinates closely with field leadership, and mentors the Project Managers and Assistant Project Managers on the team. While primarily office and trailer-based, the Senior Project Manager is regularly on site as the project requires.

  • Direct and coordinate the project team, including Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers, and support staff.
  • Serve as the primary leader and decision-maker for assigned projects.
  • Mentor and develop the Project Managers and Assistant Project Managers on the team.

Financial & Contract Management

  • Own project financial performance, including budgets, forecasts, cost control, and profitability.

Schedule & Delivery

  • Develop, maintain, and drive the project schedule in coordination with field leadership.

  • Identify schedule and delivery risks early and lead recovery.
  • Coordinate closely with the Superintendent and field team on production and sequencing.

Quality, Risk & Controls

  • Ensure work conforms to the contract documents, plans, specifications, and codes.
  • Identify, monitor, and mitigate project risk throughout the lifecycle.
  • Maintain accurate, complete, and timely project documentation and controls.
  • Drive a thorough closeout, owner turnover, and warranty process.

Client & Stakeholder Management

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the owner, architect, and key stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships that support repeat work and references.
  • Lead OAC and project meetings and communicate status, risks, and decisions.
  • Represent Thrash professionally throughout the project.

Team & Operational Support

  • Coach team members and support their growth toward larger roles.
  • Support the Project Executive and VP of Project Management with reporting and process improvement.
  • Promote consistent PM standards, templates, and best practices.
  • Support Business Development and Preconstruction on pursuits and transitions as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum

  • Demonstrated ability to independently lead a project and a project team.
  • Strong command of project financials, contracts, scheduling, buyout, and risk management.
  • Proven ability to manage owner, architect, and subcontractor relationships.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Valid driver's license.
