Job Description: Senior Manager, Nursing Learning Services

Job Summary

Responsible for providing leadership and supervisory oversight for designated team members within the Learning and Organizational Development Department. This role involves managing system-wide nursing education functions and processes across the region to ensure continuous organizational growth. The Senior Manager collaborates with senior leadership to coordinate and direct team activities, facilitates The Joint Commission readiness, and drives process improvement efforts to maintain high standards of clinical and operational performance.

Essential Functions

• Provides leadership and manages outcomes of the assigned team, promoting problem-solving and supporting group effectiveness.
• Manages day-to-day operations of learning management systems, audiovisual needs, and maintenance of regulatory records.
• Develops, updates, and disseminates learning reports to leadership to track educational compliance and progress.
• Conducts learning needs assessments and participates in the design and implementation of new programs and technologies.
• Keeps current on industry trends and prepares the organization for compliance with agency requirements and regulatory reviews.
• Analyzes performance, outcomes, and participant data to evaluate the impact of learning and development programs.
• Provides coaching and support to enhance team and overall organizational effectiveness.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education Requirement

Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Nursing Education, or a related field.

Experience Requirement

6-7 years of experience in healthcare administration, education or a relevant area and 2 years of related managerial experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. All experience must be paid and in the same related field. Part-time and PRN experience will be prorated based on hours worked per week. Volunteer work and internships for academic credit are not counted.

Certifications & Licensures

Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license.

Physical Demands

This position is occasionally required to maintain a stationary position (standing or sitting), but more frequently requires walking and moving about laboratory and office spaces. Frequent use of computers, other equipment, and fine motor skills for handling instruments and devices is necessary. Regular communication with patients and care teams is required, involving both verbal and auditory skills. Constant lifting and/or moving of items up to 10 pounds is expected, frequent lifting/moving of items up to 25 pounds, and occasional lifting/moving of items up to 50 pounds. Visual demands include close, distance, color, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
