Senior Civil Engineer - Capital Projects & Infrastructure - Omaha Metro

We are partnering with our client, an established public-sector organization seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to help plan, design, and deliver infrastructure improvements that directly benefit the community. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who has gained hands-on experience in civil design and project coordination and is ready to take on greater responsibility while continuing to grow professionally.

In this role, you'll work on a variety of municipal infrastructure projects, including roadways, utilities, stormwater systems, and public improvements. You'll have the opportunity to be involved in projects from initial planning and design through construction and completion.

What They're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• 2–3 years of civil engineering experience involving land development, wastewater, roadway design, municipal infrastructure, or related projects.
• Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) certification required, with candidates ideally approaching eligibility for their Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Experience preparing or reviewing engineering plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Knowledge of civil engineering design principles, construction practices, and applicable regulations.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to coordinate with contractors, consultants, and other project stakeholders.
• Valid driver's license.

What You'll Be Doing

• Assist in the planning, design, and execution of municipal infrastructure and capital improvement projects.
• Prepare and review engineering drawings, specifications, technical reports, and project estimates.
• Coordinate with engineering consultants, contractors, and internal teams throughout various project phases.
• Monitor construction activities to ensure projects meet design requirements, quality standards, and regulatory guidelines.
• Review development plans and infrastructure improvements for compliance with established standards.
• Support roadway, drainage, utility, and stormwater management projects.
• Participate in project budgeting, scheduling, bidding, and construction administration.
• Provide technical guidance and recommendations to support infrastructure planning and improvements.
