Job Summary

The primary responsibilities of this role include assisting customers with their building and construction supply needs, supporting our customer list of contractors and construction businesses. Sales Associates strive to maintain an outstanding customer experience that reflects our values and commitment to service.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers in person and over the phone with their building and construction supply needs.
• Provide accurate quotes and delivery times to contractors and construction business customers.
• Answer customer questions and recommend additional products to help customers complete their projects.
• Process special orders as needed.
• Inform customers about current promotions, upcoming sales events, and new products.
• Demonstrate a willingness to continually learn, grow product knowledge, and contribute to a positive experience for every customer.

Qualifications

• Outstanding customer service skills, attention to detail and a professional, positive attitude.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to work independently and solve problems effectively.
• Knowledge of effective sales techniques and customer engagement practices.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems, including price lookups, special orders, and order entry.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
• Strong math, reading, writing, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a busy work environment while maintaining attention to detail.
