Position Overview and Responsibilities:

An exciting opportunity is available for a strong leader with a diverse Florida Park Service background to fill the position of Park Manager II at Ravine Gardens State Park, Dunns Creek State Park and the Palatka to St. Augustine State Trail.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Compliance with the processing requirements of Chapter 215.422, F.S. is mandatory.
• VISITOR SERVICES - Explains facilities and services provided for public use, enjoyment and education; meets visitors, answers questions, provides information and directions.
• RESOURCE MANAGEMENT – Participates in and supervises the resource management program.
• MAINTENANCE - Identifies maintenance needs through daily inspections.
• ADMINISTRATION – Participates in employee training, supervision and discipline.
• PROTECTION - Ensures park rules are enforced pertaining to all facilities and resources.
• OTHER – Performs other related duties as required.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Knowledge of natural resource management practices.
• Skill in personnel management and leadership.
• Ability to participate in all aspects of resource management.

Minimum Qualifications:

Valid Driver’s License Residency Position of Special Trust Requirement: This position is designated as a Position of Special Trust in accordance with DEP Directive 422, Positions of Special Trust or Responsibility.

Pay:

$4,106.40 month/$49,276.84 annual
