Radiology manager

Qualifications and Requirements:

1. Education, License and Certifications Required:
   • Bachelor's or Associate degree with major in medical technology or related science AND Retain a N.D. state license.
2. Experience Requirements:
   • Must to able to read, write, speak and understand English.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Develop, update and interpret policies and procedures for the Radiology departments in accordance with regulations.
2. See that all tests ordered are performed in accordance to urgency and stat response requirements.
3. Radiology employees: supervise, hire, train, schedule and evaluate. Ensure competency of all staff within both departments.
4. Maintain a safe and sanitary environment in accordance with established Universal Precautions and sanitary, safety and infection prevention policies and procedures, making sure all required information is documented appropriately.
5. Assist in establishing budgets and managing finances of the departments.
6. Ensure adequate supplies and equipment are available.
7. Promptly report all accidents, incidents, unsafe and hazardous conditions and equipment and ensure that established safety rules and regulations are followed at all times.
8. Prepare for and attend all required meetings.
9. Perform high-quality work with accuracy, speed, safety and cost effectiveness.
10. Ensure patient safety while performing all duties and responsibilities.
11. Perform tests requiring routine and/or complex instrumentation according to prescribed procedure.
12. Record workload.
13. Research and develop new procedures. Make decisions on the types of tests that will be performed.
14. Contact manufacturers or distributors regarding problems or questions concerning their products.
15. Troubleshoot procedures.
16. Receive written or oral requisitions for tests.
17. Record information in log
18. Perform on-call services as scheduled including rotating week-ends and holidays.
19. Know and comply with Residents' and Patients' Rights rules.
20. Maintain Patient Confidentiality and protect Patient Information.
21. Attend and participate in orientation, training, mandatory education, in-services, staff meetings, and education courses as instructed to further improve knowledge and skills, including Incident Command System training (ICS) for emergency preparedness.
22. Treat Patients, Residents, Visitors and Co-workers with kindness, dignity and respect at all times.
23. Promote teamwork; encourage others to work to the best of their ability.
