Promotions & Event Coordinator
The Promotions & Event Coordinator is responsible for helping create reasons for people to gather, celebrate, and experience Lift Bridge. This position combines private event sales and coordination, Taproom promotions, community engagement, and management of our external Brand Ambassador program.
This is a hands-on position. The right person will be equally comfortable responding to a private event inquiry, developing a promotion to drive Taproom traffic, setting up for an event, working directly with customers, and coordinating a team of Brand Ambassadors for liquor store tastings, festivals, and other external events.
Organization, customer focus, creativity, sales ability, and teamwork are key attributes of an exceptional candidate. This position will work closely with the Taproom, Sales, Marketing, and Brewery teams to ensure Lift Bridge events and promotions are well planned, well attended, and professionally executed.
Ultimately, success in this position means creating great experiences while generating measurable traffic, sales, and long-term customer relationships for Lift Bridge.
Required Skills Include:
- 2–5 years experience in event coordination, hospitality, customer service, restaurant, brewery, catering, promotions, sales, or related industry preferred
- High level of customer service and communication skills
- Outgoing personality and comfort interacting with customers, businesses, community organizations, vendors, and large groups
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple events, deadlines, and projects simultaneously
- Sales-minded with the ability to convert inquiries into booked events
- Creative thinker who can develop new promotions and event concepts
- Google/Microsoft Office Suite user
- Familiarity with CRM and event management programs
- Familiarity with POS systems
- Comfortable using social media and digital communication tools
- Ability to lead, schedule, and communicate expectations to Brand Ambassadors
- Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of projects
- Public speaking and presentation comfort
- Ability to lift tables, chairs, event equipment, coolers, and supplies (up to 30 lbs.) repeatedly
- Ability to work evenings and weekends as required by events and promotions
- Familiarity with craft beer and beverages preferred, with a willingness to continually learn about Lift Bridge products
Specific Responsibilities Include:
Private Events & Group Sales
- Serve as a primary point of contact for private events, parties, corporate gatherings, happy hours, group reservations, and other special events at the Stillwater Taproom.
- Respond promptly and professionally to private event inquiries.
- Actively work to convert inquiries into booked events.
- Manage customer communication from initial inquiry through completion of the event.
- Coordinate event details including timing, room layouts, food and beverage needs, special requests, signage, décor, and other requirements.
- Work with Taproom management and staff to clearly communicate upcoming event needs and expectations.
- Coordinate setup and cleanup for private and public events.
- Assist with "high profile" client gatherings when necessary.
- Develop and implement new private event opportunities within the brewery.
- Help develop and improve event packages, pricing, minimums, and add-on opportunities.
- Build relationships with local businesses, organizations, nonprofits, event planners, and community groups to generate new event business.
- Proactively pursue corporate happy hours, holiday parties, team gatherings, celebrations, and other group business.
- Track event bookings, revenue, customer feedback, and results.
- Work toward a goal of generating measurable growth in private event revenue.
Taproom Promotions & Public Events
- Develop and coordinate a consistent calendar of promotions and events that give customers a reason to visit the Taproom.
- Coordinate recurring programs including community organization features, live entertainment, special releases, community nights, holiday events, and other Taproom promotions.
- Develop promotions designed specifically to increase traffic during traditionally slower days and times.
- Coordinate entertainment, vendors, food partners, supplies, signage, schedules, staffing needs, and other event logistics.
- Execute promotions, giveaways, and other marketing opportunities onsite.
- Work with Marketing to coordinate printed and digital materials including posters, flyers, handouts, social media content, email communication, and in-Taproom signage.
- Design and execute décor in the Taproom and event spaces periodically.
- Be onsite for key events and promotions to ensure a high level of execution.
- Evaluate events and promotions based on attendance, sales, customer feedback, and overall effectiveness.
- Continually develop new ideas that make the Lift Bridge Taproom fun, relevant, and connected to our community.
External Events & Brand Ambassador Program
- Coordinate Lift Bridge participation in liquor store tastings, festivals, distributor events, community events, sampling opportunities, and other external promotional events.
- Recruit, train, schedule, communicate with, and lead Lift Bridge Brand Ambassadors.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for Brand Ambassadors regarding schedules, event details, expectations, and execution.
- Ensure Brand Ambassadors understand Lift Bridge products, our company and brand story, key product talking points, and expectations for customer interaction.
- Coordinate with the Sales team and distributor partners to identify and schedule valuable sampling and promotional opportunities.
- Maintain an organized calendar of external events and sampling opportunities.
- Maintain Brand Ambassador and external event resources, equipment, displays, banners, tablecloths, coolers, sampling materials, merchandise, and supplies.
- Make sure external events are properly staffed and Brand Ambassadors have everything needed to successfully execute each event.
- Personally represent Lift Bridge at select external events, festivals, tastings, and promotions.
- Track Brand Ambassador hours and event activity.
- Gather useful information from events including customer feedback, product interest, samples distributed, and other relevant observations.
- Ensure Lift Bridge is represented professionally, enthusiastically, and consistently at every external event.
General Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively with Taproom, Sales, Marketing, Production, and company leadership.
- Maintain event resources, storage areas, and inventory in an organized manner.
- Attend educational seminars and training sessions related to beer, beverages, hospitality, events, and promotions.
- Participate in product education and potentially complete programs such as Cicerone training.
- Maintain required alcohol awareness and safe-service certifications.
- Assist with occasional Taproom service or bartending shifts when necessary.
- Look for opportunities to improve processes, increase revenue, reduce unnecessary costs, and improve the customer experience.
- Take ownership of projects and follow them through to completion.
Compensation:
- $25 / hour base pay
- 32–40 hrs / wk (Full-Time Employment)
- Schedule will include weekdays, evenings, and weekends as necessary for private events, Taproom promotions, external events, and Brand Ambassador activities.
- Customer tips may be available when providing direct service to customers for qualifying events or Taproom shifts.
