Job Description Summary

The Production Support Specialist will be responsible for coordinating with the Production Team Leader, Engineering Managers, Production Planner and other departments of the company to assist with quality improvements of the product and process.

Job Description

Key responsibilities/essential functions include:

  • Coordination of new product introduction into the work center and participation on Pilot Production Teams, including identifying training needs, developing work process flows, and identifying specialized tooling
  • Ensuring a safe, clean and efficient work area for the employees working in assigned product area
  • Monitoring and reporting all resource issues
  • Working with the Group Leaders ensuring product and process quality related to daily production flow
  • Monitoring, reporting and investigation of defects attributed to their areas through direct interface with the MRB
  • Implementing process improvements to improve quality and productivity levels. Uses Lean concepts to improve efficiency.
  • Ensuring that QA procedures and policies are followed within his/her assigned area
  • Ensuring manufacturing documentation used during the production process is of the correct and most current revision
  • Comply with EHS regulations and policies
  • Other duties as assigned, and may be asked to be included in quality activities, training sessions, and employee activity teams

Quality Expectations:

  • Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines
  • Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and support corrective actions

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or local equivalent
  • 2 or more years of related manufacturing experience
  • Ability to communicate, receive and understand instructions regarding duties to be performed
  • Computer skills (internet, Microsoft office)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Prior experience working in a medical device manufacturing environment
  • Previous experience in GMP work environment
  • Experience with subordinates, leadership skills
