What You Can Expect

Responsible for providing engineering services in support of either cellular manufacturing or logistical operations.

How You'll Create Impact

  • Conducting feasability studies to estimate product/ process costs, analyze capital equipment utilization, capacity, and capability requirements affecting the make versus buy decision.
  • Establishing process methods which meet performance and quality requirements.
  • Establishing preliminary bill of materials and process routing.
  • Developing a wide variety of applications, including machining, finishing, chemical vapor deposition, poly molding, pick, pack, receiving and shipping.
  • Identifying a variety of options and choosing the most appropriate processes and methods.
  • Negotiating target completion dates with appropriate personnel from other departments.
  • Developing project plans and schedules for work activities, compliant with business needs.

What Makes You Stand Out

  • Must have experience or formal education in machining, finishing, chemical vapor deposition, poly molding, pick, pack, receiving or shipping.
  • Working knowledge of control procedures, such as the Engineering Change Notification (ECN), Change Management and Deviation process.
  • Working knowledge of formal education of drafting standards and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
  • Demonstrates ownership of and ability to manage project assignments with a broad scope and high level of complexity and able to prioritize and complete work in a timely manner.
  • Demonstrates advanced problem solving skills through the use of quality and statistical tools.
  • Ability to effectively work within a team and cross functionally to expedite completion of critical project tasks.
  • Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Microsoft Office Suite and Project; Statistical Process Control skills; proficient in process development, and Unigraphics 3-D modeling software a plus.

Your Background

B.S. in chemical, mechanical, industrial engineering, or other engineering science plus 0-3 years of manufacturing/ logistical process development experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
