Job Description

The Physical Security Technology and Projects Manager will be responsible for supporting the global security systems and technology department through the following functions: System administration, configuration management, routine maintenance, performance tuning, and troubleshooting to maintain system integrity. The Physical Security Technology and Projects Manager will provide technical oversight and assistance to regional locations for all their physical security technology needs.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential Functions

  • Support management with project planning and coordination to meet commitments on time and within resource limitations. With management approval, determine requirements, establish priorities, and monitor progress.
  • Evaluate project status and resource utilization, implement changes as needed, review status reports prepared by project personnel, and modify schedules or plans as required.
  • Meet regularly with client representatives to provide status updates, address actual or potential issues, support service level changes, assist with security planning, assessments, and surveys, and review/update post orders.
  • Implement, maintain, audit, and enhance electronic security technology, including security systems, servers, software, and systems integrations.
  • Support the administration and documentation of electronic security technology and provide training and technical support.
  • Coordinate with third-party companies and vendors regarding electronic security technology projects, services, and maintenance activities.
  • Ensure quality control of electronic security system installations.
  • Manage and prioritize multiple large-scale physical security projects simultaneously.
  • Analyze existing system processes and develop and implement recommended improvements.
  • Assist and advise field technical personnel on system response procedures and operational theory.
  • Manage projects involving security system configuration, implementation, and commissioning.
  • Serve as a trusted Subject Matter Expert (SME) for electronic and physical security systems.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education, Experience, and Certifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant technology systems experience supporting physical security programs.

Competencies

  • Experience with physical security technology systems.
  • Extensive experience in security operations, including:
    • Electronic security technology management
    • Project management
    • Security systems support in large-scale environments
  • Expert-level knowledge of:
    • CCURE 9000
    • Victor VideoEdge
  • Experience with other enterprise security platforms and technologies.
  • Experience with server administration.
  • Understanding of electronic security network infrastructure and architecture.
  • Strong experience with enterprise security systems and communications.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment with minimal supervision.
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills, with attention to detail and effective communication abilities.
  • Analytical problem-solving skills with a data-informed approach.
  • Strong project management capabilities.
  • Strong working knowledge of:
    • Security alarm systems
    • Analog and digital video systems administration
    • Access control systems administration
    • Security system integration
    • System redundancy design
  • Strong knowledge of networked physical security systems and protocols, including:
    • IP intercoms
    • IP cameras
    • Digital video recorders
    • Access control controllers
    • Alarm devices
    • Alarm panels
  • Demonstrated technical and professional expertise, with a commitment to staying current on industry developments and emerging technologies.
  • Ability to participate in an on-call security rotation.
  • Availability to work occasional nights and weekends as needed.

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary range and benefits information for this position are being included in accordance with requirements of various state/local pay transparency legislation. Please note that salaries may vary for different individuals in the same role based on several factors, including but not limited to location of the role, individual competencies, education/professional certifications, qualifications/experience, performance in the role.

Compensation

The base salary compensation range being offered for this role is $110,000 USD annually.

This role is also eligible for an annual short-term incentive bonus.
