We are seeking an experienced Part Time, 20 hours a week, Performance Improvement (PI) Program Manager to join our Nursing Quality & Safety team. This key leadership role will drive quality, patient safety, and process improvement initiatives across the health system while supporting our journey toward becoming a highly reliable organization. The PI Program Manager serves as a strategic partner to clinical and operational leaders, utilizing data, performance improvement methodologies, and change management strategies to deliver measurable results that enhance patient care and operational excellence.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

• Lead and facilitate complex performance improvement, patient safety, and quality initiatives across the organization.
• Apply Lean, Six Sigma, Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA), and other performance improvement methodologies to improve outcomes and processes.
• Utilize quality improvement tools such as Root Cause Analysis, Fishbone Diagrams, Failure Mode Effects Analysis, Value Stream Mapping, and 5 Whys to identify opportunities and implement sustainable solutions.
• Analyze clinical, operational, and performance data to measure outcomes, identify trends, and support data-driven decision making.
• Design and manage project plans, timelines, milestones, and performance metrics to ensure successful project execution.
• Develop and present dashboards, scorecards, reports, and visual presentations to communicate progress and outcomes to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including Nursing, Medical Staff, Population Health, Care Management, Information Services, Patient Safety, Accreditation, and Quality leaders.
• Serve as a mentor, educator, and change leader to promote a culture of continuous improvement, learning, and accountability.
• Support organizational readiness and compliance efforts related to Joint Commission, CMS, Magnet, and other regulatory requirements.

Education & Experience

Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing; Master's degree in Nursing, Public Health, Healthcare Administration, or a related field preferred.
• Current Delaware RN licensure or eligibility to obtain licensure.
• Minimum of three years of relevant healthcare quality, patient safety, performance improvement, or related experience.
• Demonstrated experience leading projects and facilitating interdisciplinary teams within a healthcare setting.

Preferred:

• Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ).
• Lean Six Sigma certification.
• Project Management certification.
• Experience with electronic medical records and data analytics platforms.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, Tableau, and other reporting and data analysis tools.

Hourly Pay Range: $42.11 - $67.37

This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare’s good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting. The actual salary within this range offered to a successful candidate will depend on individual factors including without limitation skills, relevant experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements.
