Provides high quality pre-hospital and inter-facility advanced life support including assessment triage, and treatment utilizing established Clinical Operating Guidelines approved by Emory Healthcare EMS (EHCEMS) Medical Director, within scope of practice; assesses the nature and extent of the illness and injury to establish and prioritize care needed for safe transport of the critical care patient to an appropriate facility. Is qualified to provide care for patients across the lifespan in assigned clinical area. Assures that safety remains the highest priority throughout the transport continuum. Supports EHCEMS operations whenever and however is needed.
Experience - Minimum of 3 years' experience as a paramedic.
Licensure - Valid Georgia Paramedic License, Valid driver's license and acceptable motor vehicle record.
Certifications - GA Critical Care Paramedic Endorsement within 1 year of hire, BLS Provider, ACLS: Advanced Cardiac Life Support, PALS: Pediatric Advanced Life Support.
(Medium-Heavy) 36-75 lbs, 0-33% of the work day (occasionally); 20-35 lbs, 34-66% of the workday; (frequently); 10-20 lbs, 67-100% of the workday (constantly); Lifting 75 lbs max; Carrying of objects up to 35 lbs; Occasional to frequent standing & walking; Occasional sitting; Close eye work (computers, typing, reading, writing); Physical demands may vary depending on assigned work area and work tasks.
