NUWAY is currently looking for candidates to work at our South Minneapolis locations, in a full-time capacity as a Nurse Manager. The ideal candidate would have past experience in mental health or substance abuse.

Annual compensation range for this role is $90,000 - $110,000.

Position Overview

This position works under the direct supervision of the Head of Medical to oversee the relationship with the nursing staff and other medical personnel. The Nurse Manager role is to supervise Nursing Staff and, in collaboration with Nursing Lead and each site leader and technicians ensure all NUWAY policy/procedures are being followed as well as NUWAY staff providing thorough and quality care. The Nurse Manager trains all staff as necessary and performs any duties in the absence of Nursing Staff for all residential locations.

Nurse Manager must be able to maintain client confidentiality in accordance with state and federal guidelines and HIPAA requirements.

Qualifications, Skills, Knowledge and Experience Required:

  • Must be a current Registered Nurse in the State of Minnesota
  • Must be age 18 or older
  • Must have current First Aid/CPR Certification obtained within 30 days of starting work
  • Must be able to pass Minnesota DHS background study
  • Ability to relate to people from diverse backgrounds
  • Possess maturity, patience, understanding and empathy with recovering individuals and work with a multidisciplinary team
  • Physical Demands: Sitting for extended periods of time. Daily use of general office equipment. Lifting (max 25 pounds), minimal reaching, bending and stooping. Ability to effectively navigate program or office environment such as ascending and descending steps, passing through doorways and entrances, and accessing program/office facilities
  • Conducts self in a professional manner
  • Possess excellent oral and written communications skills
  • Competent computer skills and able to effectively enter information in various systems
  • Proficiently understand, follow instructions, and communicate effectively in English. Able to effectively document services in writing formatted in English.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor or Master of Science in Nursing
  • One or more years of experience with a working knowledge in the field of Chemical Dependency
