Adjunct Faculty Position – Nuclear Pharmacy

Overview and Responsibilities:

Baptist Health Sciences University's Nuclear Medicine Technology program is accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Educational Programs in Nuclear Medicine Technology (JRCNMT). The university seeks to hire an adjunct Instructor for the Nuclear Medicine Technology program at Baptist Health Sciences University. The person in this role will assist with administering the Nuclear Medicine Technology program rules, regulations, and policies in compliance with current JRCNMT Standards; provide instruction in the principles and practice of nuclear pharmacy, including radiopharmaceutical preparation, radiation safety, regulatory compliance, quality assurance, and clinical applications; assesses competency of Nuclear Medicine Technology students; cooperates with the program faculty in periodic review/assessment, and revision of course materials as needed; and demonstrates knowledge of education content for bachelor’s degree Nuclear Medicine Technology program. This position is under the administrative direction of the Academic Dean and/or general direction of the Program Chair for the Nuclear Medicine Technology program.

Minimum Qualifications:

Meets one of the following qualification pathways:

  • Option 1: Pharmacist
    • Holds, at a minimum, a PharmD or equivalent professional pharmacy degree from an accredited institution in pharmacy or a related discipline appropriate for college teaching; documents three years of experience in nuclear pharmacy practice; credentialed as a licensed Pharmacist for 3 years or greater; current pharmacist license in good standing.
  • OR
  • Option 2: Nuclear Medicine Technologist
    • Holds, at a minimum, a bachelor’s degree from an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program, or related discipline appropriate for teaching; document at least five years of professional experience in nuclear medicine and/or nuclear pharmacy practice; credentialed as either a CNMT (NMTCB) and/or RT(N)(ARRT), in good standing.

Preferred Qualifications:

Meets one of the following preferred qualification pathways:

  • Option 1: Pharmacist
    • Holds, at a minimum, a PharmD or equivalent professional pharmacy degree from an accredited institution in pharmacy or a related discipline appropriate for college teaching; documents five to seven years of experience in nuclear pharmacy practice; credentialed as a licensed Pharmacist for 5 years or greater; current pharmacist license in good standing.
  • OR
  • Option 2: Nuclear Medicine Technologist
    • Holds, at a minimum, a master’s degree from an accredited related discipline appropriate for teaching; document at least six to eight years of professional experience in nuclear medicine and/or nuclear pharmacy practice; credentialed as either a CNMT (NMTCB) and/or RT(N)(ARRT), in good standing.

Required Credentials for Pharmacist:

  • PharmD or equivalent professional pharmacy degree
  • Current pharmacist license in good standing
  • Experience in nuclear pharmacy practice

Required Credentials for Nuclear Medicine Technologist:

  • CNMT(NMTCB) and/or RT(N)(ARRT)
  • Credential(s) in good standing
  • Experience in nuclear medicine and/or nuclear pharmacy practice
