Job Description

Inova Center for Personal Health is looking for a dedicated Mental Health Technician Coordinator to join the team. This is a PRN position with a variable shift. We have a preference for candidates that would be able to support either day or night shifts.

Mental Health Technician Coordinator Job Responsibilities:

  • Provides administrative support by answering phones, transcribing orders and maintaining charts.
  • Communicate abnormal values and clinical changes to the appropriate staff member within 15 minutes.
  • Answer and screens telephone calls while providing appropriate information or referring to other staff members.
  • Schedules for appointments in automated scheduling system. Make copies, sends/receives faxes and opens/distribute mail.
  • Reinforces transition/discharge teaching and home care skills.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education: High School
  • Experience: One-year relevant experience
  • Certification: BLS from the American Heart Association. Upon start

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous Mental health experience
  • Hospital or clinic work
  • Fast-paced administrative work
