Description

Overview:

The Marketing Strategy Manager develops and executes integrated marketing strategies and programs that support organizational growth, awareness, patient and referral acquisition, and engagement. This role partners with internal stakeholders and cross-functional marketing teams to plan, coordinate, and execute marketing initiatives across digital and traditional channels. The Marketing Strategy Manager manages campaign activities, marketing deliverables, stakeholder relationships, and performance reporting to ensure initiatives align with organizational priorities, brand standards, and strategic objectives.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Marketing Strategy and Campaign Execution

  1. Develops and implements integrated marketing campaigns across digital, traditional media, social media, email, direct mail, events, and other relevant channels
  2. Translates organizational and business priorities into actionable marketing strategies and campaign plans
  3. Manages campaign timelines, deliverables, budgets, and communications among internal teams and external vendors
  4. Ensures marketing campaigns and initiatives align with strategic objectives, organizational brand standards, and approved budgets

Content and Digital Marketing Coordination

  1. Collaborates with content and digital teams to develop and maintain web pages, blogs, social media content, and other digital assets supporting assigned programs and organizational priorities
  2. Coordinates video and photography projects, including patient testimonials, physician features, educational content, and other marketing assets
  3. Supports search engine optimization strategies by coordinating keyword-informed content, metadata, and related content optimization activities
  4. Partners with digital marketing teams to support integrated campaign execution across appropriate digital channels

Marketing Operations and Project Management

  1. Oversees the development and production of marketing materials, including flyers, brochures, display advertisements, provider toolkits, email campaigns, and other promotional assets
  2. Maintains campaign calendars, project plans, workback schedules, status trackers, and related documentation to support timely project completion
  3. Coordinates review and approval processes with marketing, clinical, and organizational leadership
  4. Manages multiple concurrent marketing initiatives and competing priorities within a matrixed organizational environment

Provider and Community Engagement

  1. Partners with physician outreach and other internal teams to develop branded marketing materials that support provider engagement and referral strategies
  2. Supports marketing for community events and engagement initiatives, including webinars, screenings, sponsorship activations, and other programs designed to increase awareness and engagement

Marketing Analytics and Performance Optimization

  1. Collaborates with analytics teams to monitor marketing performance indicators, including lead conversions, patient volume, engagement rates, and digital campaign performance
  2. Compiles and presents campaign performance reports and identifies opportunities to improve marketing effectiveness
  3. Uses available performance data and insights to inform campaign recommendations and optimization strategies
  4. Maintains awareness of healthcare marketing trends, emerging practices, and competitive activity to support marketing planning and decision-making

Stakeholder Management and Cross-Functional Collaboration

  1. Serves as a day-to-day marketing contact for assigned stakeholders, including service line administrators, clinical partners, and other organizational leaders
  2. Provides project updates, manages stakeholder expectations, and coordinates marketing services in support of business and organizational priorities
  3. Collaborates with design, content, public relations, digital, analytics, and other teams to execute integrated marketing initiatives efficiently and effectively
  4. Participates in planning and performance review meetings and contributes recommendations and insights to enhance marketing outcomes

Minimum Required Qualifications:

Education - Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.

Experience - 4+ years of professional experience in marketing, communications, business development, healthcare operations, or an equivalent field, including at least one year of experience in healthcare marketing.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (Required):

  • Knowledge of integrated marketing principles and practices across digital and traditional marketing channels.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple marketing projects, timelines, deliverables, and competing priorities.
  • Ability to work effectively across functional areas and within a matrixed organizational environment.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills necessary to coordinate complex marketing initiatives from planning through execution.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clinical, operational, and marketing stakeholders.
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective stakeholder relationships while providing responsive customer service.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy across multiple concurrent projects and deliverables.
  • Knowledge of marketing performance metrics and familiarity with campaign reporting and performance measurement tools.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Familiarity with project management tools such as Asana, Wrike, Trello, or similar platforms.

Preferred Qualifications Experience:

  • Experience working in an academic medical center or large healthcare system.
  • Experience with content management systems, analytics dashboards such as Google Analytics, and customer relationship management platforms such as Salesforce or Eloqua.

Environmental exposures include, but are not limited to, blood-borne pathogen exposure, biohazardous waste, chemicals, gases, fumes, vapors, communicable diseases, electrical shock, floor surfaces, hot and cold temperatures, indoor and outdoor conditions, latex, lighting, patient care/handling injuries, radiation, shift work, and travel as required. Use of personal protective equipment, including respirators, may be required. Environmental conditions may vary depending on the assigned work area and work tasks.
