Job Description
About Crowned Grace International
Accelerating Mission-Ready Capabilities. CGINTL is a veteran- and woman-owned professional services firm that helps enterprises, agencies, and foundations deliver major change, so they perform better, spend less, and keep their best people. As a service-disabled veteran-owned, woman-owned small business and marketplace ministry, we grow Leaders who know they matter. At CGINTL, everyone is a Leader, and we hold every Leader to our core values of Integrity & Trust, Credibility, Accountability, Continuous Improvement, Action Orientation, Caring, and Marketplace Ministry.
The Opportunity
CGINTL is seeking a Lead Instructional Designer to serve as design authority for a multi-tier leadership, professional development and technical training program for a large public water utility client in the Maryland suburbs of Washington, DC. You will map progressive learning paths, set design standards, and build curricula that work equally well in the classroom and in virtual environments. This position is contingent upon contract award; we are building a qualified candidate pool now.
What You Will Do
- Lead needs assessments with the client stakeholders (interviews, surveys, job and task analysis) and translate findings into measurable learning objectives.
- Design multi-tier curriculum maps, including the 3-Month Leadership Cohort spanning Emotional Intelligence, Building Trust and Leading Through Change, and Accountability and Performance Alignment.
- Design the structured Emerging Leaders program for new supervisors and high-potential employees.
- Create dual-format assets (lesson plans, facilitator and participant guides, PowerPoint materials, exercises and job aids) built to run interchangeably in classroom and virtual delivery.
- Customize CGINTL Leadership: From Ordinary to Extraordinary™ (L:FO2E) modules to the client's workforce and to entry-through-advanced skill levels.
- Define Kirkpatrick Level 1–3 evaluation design for each program, and brief faculty through train-the-trainer sessions.
Qualifications
Degree in Instructional Design, Adult Education, or a closely related field (Instructional Technology, Curriculum and Instruction, Human Resource Development); OR an active Certified Professional in Talent Development (CPTD) credential.
Minimum of five (5) years of experience designing adult curriculum paths, including demonstrated success designing sequential, progressive learning paths and creating training assets for both physical classrooms and interactive virtual learning environments.
Degree as stated above, or active CPTD (Association for Talent Development).
Preferred Qualifications
A Master's degree is preferred CPTD (in addition to degree); Kirkpatrick Four Levels Evaluation Certification (Bronze or higher); proficiency with e-learning authoring tools and Section 508 / WCAG 2.1 AA accessible design.
How You Will Live Our Values
- Continuous Improvement: Uses evaluation data from every cohort to revise designs, and adopts better methods before problems force the change.
- Credibility: Holds every asset to one quality standard, whether delivered in a classroom at client facilities or on Microsoft Teams.
- Caring: Designs around the real work, schedules and limited availability of the client supervisors and employees.
Work Requirements
Successful completion of the client's post-offer background investigation, including work, driving, and criminal history, before working at client facilities.
Availability for on-site work Monday through Friday between 7:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., and travel within Montgomery and Prince George's Counties, Maryland.
Adherence to client and CGINTL standards of conduct, ethics, and confidentiality.
Must be able to pass government background investigation.
