Job Location: Cinnaminson NJ - Cinnaminson, NJ, Position Type: Full Time, Salary Range: $18.00 - $18.00 Hourly

EMSL is currently seeking a Laboratory Technician I (Chemistry) in Cinnaminson, NJ. The technician supports the laboratory analysts by preparing samples for analysis. No laboratory experience is required, just a desire to learn technical skills and become proficient in common laboratory practices and procedures. On-the-job training will be provided for all new employees.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Perform a variety of sample preparation and analysis procedures to quantitatively measure chemical and physical properties in a variety of matrices: air, dust, food, soil, solid, and/or water
• Operate and maintain basic analytical equipment and instruments
• Able to perform basic chemistry tasks such as pipetting, volumetric measurements and the utilization of analytical balances
• Perform basic calculations and conversions, and compile the data obtained
• Be comfortable in a laboratory setting involving the handling of common laboratory reagents, such as acids, bases, and organic solvents
• Perform all chemical handling safely following laboratory procedures
• Understand and adhere to standard operating procedures and quality control procedures established for each analytical method

Requirements:

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED
• Ability to work in a fast-paced setting, be able to multi-task and prioritize assignments
• Work independently and with a team
• Concise, organized, and meticulous regarding work assignments
• Knowledge of basic computer skills such Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel is required

Available Shift:

Position is full time, Monday to Friday 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Cinnaminson, NJ are encouraged to apply.
