The Koch Internship Program (KIP) is a paid experiential learning program run by Stand Together Fellowships that offers professional development, leadership training, and meaningful work experience at non-profits tackling some of our nation's most pressing policy challenges all over the United States. Early-career professionals including undergraduate/graduate/law students and recent graduates are encouraged to apply. Eligible candidates will be geographically located in and authorized to work in the United States through the duration of the program. Successful candidates will interview with both our non-profit partner organizations and Stand Together Fellowships staff, so we strongly encourage you to begin the admissions process early!
The Foundation for Economic Education (FEE) is a leading nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing the economic, ethical, and legal principles of a free society. For 80 years, FEE has been committed to inspiring and educating individuals on the values of personal freedom, entrepreneurship, and sound economic thinking. Through various programs, publications, and events, FEE empowers individuals to understand the economic principles that drive prosperity and fosters a society rooted in individual rights and limited government.
FEE’s Student Engagement team inspires and awakens students by delivering the world-class learning experiences at the heart of FEE’s mission, introducing high school and college students to the ideas of a free society through in-person programs, webinars, and campus-based programs. The Student Engagement team runs single- and multi-day programs across North America and Latin America. Its summer campus programs bring students together for several days of learning about economics, entrepreneurship, and personal freedom.
Behind every program is a detailed operational effort: venues and vendors, speakers and faculty, travel, materials, participant recruitment, and day-of execution. The team takes pride in getting those details correct so that every participant leaves with a world-class experience that inspires & awakens.
The North America Programs Intern will support FEE’s Senior Associate, North America Programs and the broader Programs team, with a primary focus on the logistics and operations behind FEE’s programming in the Washington, DC office. This is an opportunity for a highly organized, detail-oriented student or recent graduate to gain hands-on experience in event logistics, participant communication, and program operations within a mission-driven organization.
In addition to supporting DC programming, the intern will contribute to key work evolving FEE’s summer campus programming, helping research, plan, and document improvements to how these programs are recruited for, organized, and delivered. The ideal candidate has a genuine interest in economic freedom and FEE’s mission, enjoys getting the details right, and is comfortable using AI-powered tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, or similar) to work more efficiently.
The internship will be based out of FEE’s Dupont Circle office in Washington, DC, and in-person attendance is expected. The intern will report to the Student Engagement Director.
