The Koch Internship Program (KIP) is a paid experiential learning program run by Stand Together Fellowships that offers professional development, leadership training, and meaningful work experience at non-profits tackling some of our nation's most pressing policy challenges all over the United States. Early-career professionals including undergraduate/graduate/law students and recent graduates are encouraged to apply. Eligible candidates will be geographically located in and authorized to work in the United States through the duration of the program. Successful candidates will interview with both our non-profit partner organizations and Stand Together Fellowships staff, so we strongly encourage you to begin the admissions process early!
The Foundation for Economic Education (FEE) is a leading nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing the economic, ethical, and legal principles of a free society. For 80 years, FEE has been committed to inspiring and educating individuals on the values of personal freedom, entrepreneurship, and sound economic thinking. Through various programs, publications, and events, FEE empowers individuals to understand the economic principles that drive prosperity and fosters a society rooted in individual rights and limited government.
The Student Engagement department leads FEE's student-facing events. Through a mix of in-person and virtual programs, FEE partners with schools, educators, and organizations to introduce students to the principles of a free society, fostering deeper understanding and thoughtful discussions. From outreach and relationship-building to event logistics and execution, the Student Engagement team works to create engaging, high-impact experiences that challenge and inspire the next generation. Domestically, FEE's programs have reached students in nearly all 50 states. Internationally, FEE has a growing footprint in Latin America.
This role will assist with FEE’s new initiative, the Economics Olympiad (EO). EO is FEE's international student competition, running students through a School Round and a National Round on their way to an International Final Round. In Canada and the USA, the program is scaling to reach students at schools across both countries during the School Round, before bringing top performers together for an in-person National Round in Washington, DC. Behind the scenes, a small team of staff and partners keeps teachers, students, and parents informed and supported at every stage, helping turn the National Round into a well-run, memorable event.
The Economics Olympiad Intern will be the front line of that experience — helping students, teachers, and parents get clear, timely answers as they move through the School and National Rounds, while also supporting the planning of the National Round event in DC. This is an opportunity for the ideal candidate to combine a love for the ideas of a free society with a passion for clear communication and flawless event execution.
