Responsibilities

  • Power System Studies: Conduct and review detailed AC/DC calculations using ETAP, including short circuit, voltage drop, arc-flash, motor starting, and relay coordination.
  • Procurement & Vendor Support: Develop and review equipment specifications. Participate in bid evaluations and manage vendor Q&A tracking.
  • Design Development: Prepare scoping documents and perform constructability reviews. Design and review lighting, communications, and security systems.
  • Collaboration & Client Interface: Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams. Engage with clients and implementation personnel.
  • Travel: Visit client/vendor offices and plant sites for design reviews and construction coordination.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.

Experience: 5+ years in electrical system design for industrial or nuclear power plant projects.

Technical Skills: Proficient in selecting equipment and materials. Experienced in preparing engineering design packages, calculations, and specifications. Skilled in designing low and medium voltage distribution systems (e.g., transformers, generators, motors, relays).

Soft Skills: Strong written and verbal communication. Highly detail-oriented.

Licensure: PE license or ability to obtain.

Compensation

Base Compensation: $123,000/yr - $129,000/yr (Actual compensation is subject to variation due to such factors as education, experience, skillset, and/or location)
