K-12 staff development trainer: flexible contract for master teachers

Think back to the best PD session you ever sat through. It was probably led by someone who had actually done the job. Someone like you. Time To Teach is growing our national team of trainers, and we are looking for experienced K-12 educators to deliver the classroom management and student engagement training we have been refining since 1993. More than 400,000 educators in all 50 states have been through this training, with content that traces its roots to the work of Dr. Madeline Hunter and Coach John Wooden at UCLA. The content is proven. The materials are done. What we need is the right person standing in front of the room.

This is flexible, remote-friendly independent contractor work built to fit around a full-time job, a family, or a retirement you are actually enjoying. No quotas. No curriculum to write. No business to build from scratch. You bring the classroom experience and the credibility. We bring everything else.

What the Work Looks Like:

• Deliver research-based professional development that teachers can use Monday morning, not someday
• Help schools and districts strengthen classroom management, instruction, and student engagement with strategies refined over 30+ years
• Serve public, private, and charter schools nationwide, drawing on your own real-world experience
• Represent Time To Teach with the three P's we look for: personality, professionalism, and passion for the educators you serve

You Might Be a Great Fit If You:

• Are a current or retired K-12 teacher, instructional coach, administrator, principal, professor, counselor, or education consultant
• Light up in front of a room and love presenting, coaching, or leading adult learners
• Hold a bachelor's degree or higher in education or a related field
• Are self-motivated and comfortable working independently
• Want work that fits your life (many of our trainers keep their full-time positions)

What You Get:

• Competitive compensation paid per training event, with earning potential that grows with your effort, experience, and engagement
• Complete, polished, ready-to-deliver materials, so your first event never feels like your first event
• Time To Teach trainer certification (a three-day program delivered virtually)
• A supportive national community of fellow trainers who share wins, ideas, and support
• Total flexibility: you decide how much you take on, with no quotas and no minimums
• Real impact: every training reaches dozens of teachers and, through them, thousands of students

The Fine Print:

This is an independent contractor (1099) opportunity, not a salaried position. Trainers are paid per event, and earnings vary based on individual effort, experience, availability, and engagement. New trainers complete Time To Teach certification before delivering their first event.

How to Apply:

We are scheduling phone interviews with qualified candidates right now. Apply below, then complete the quick interest form at timetoteachtrainer.com. You will receive a short online overview of the role, and if your background is a fit, we will invite you to schedule a phone interview. Most conversations start within a few days.
