The City of Groton has an opening in our Utilities – Information Technology Department. Groton Utilities is a leader in Southeastern Connecticut, providing electric, water, and other services with exceptional customer service, value and quality. We are currently searching for an IT Support Specialist II which under the supervision of the IT Support Supervisor, provides high-level technical support and expertise to all users and customers across our organization. This role is crucial for ensuring the reliable and secure operation of our IT infrastructure. This is a non-union, non-exempt position. The Pay Range is $30.29/hr -$34.62/hr (dependent on skills/experience) and is benefit eligible including participation in medical and dental insurance, the city Retirement Program and paid time off for vacation, sick and personal time and holidays. Pre-employment physical exam including drug screen, background check and references are required. Must successfully pass a national fingerprint-based records check in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Criminal Justic Information Services (CJIS) Security Policy prior to assignment.
