The Inventory Planner plays a key role in the cycle counting process and in supporting a new kitting program that ensures technicians receive complete and accurate materials for builds. This role focuses on receiving material bags from warehouses, issuing work orders, verifying subassemblies, and organizing components into clearly labeled shadow boxes. You will work in a dynamic, highly ambiguous start-up environment where you help build and refine processes while supporting a high-mix, low-volume production floor. Depending on your strengths and career goals, you will have significant opportunities to move across different functional areas and contribute to building an exciting, evolving operation.
This role is based in a warehouse and production-floor setting with strong similarities to a fulfillment or manufacturing environment. You will spend significant time on the floor, standing and walking for extended periods while working closely with technicians, material handlers, planners, and engineers. The schedule follows a combination of front-half and back-half day and night shifts. Day shifts typically run from 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM with lunch at 11:00 AM. Night shifts typically run from 5:00 PM to 3:30 AM with lunch around 10:00 PM. Front-half schedules generally cover Sunday through Wednesday, while back-half schedules generally cover Wednesday through Saturday. Training and onboarding will take place over approximately 1 to 3 weeks, Monday through Friday during standard business hours, regardless of the shift you are ultimately assigned. During onboarding, you will tour the facility, become familiar with the production areas, and receive training on MES and related systems. The environment operates like a start-up, with a high degree of ambiguity and ongoing process development, offering the opportunity to be part of building and shaping a growing operation.
