The Internal Communications Strategist Manager will play a critical role in shaping and executing communications that inform, engage, and align employees across the Joint Commission enterprise, domestically and internationally. Reporting to the Senior Director of Communications, this individual will serve as a strategic advisor to internal stakeholders and leaders across the organization, helping translate business priorities, organizational changes, and key initiatives into clear, compelling communications. The goal with all internal communications is to ensure that employees know how changes impact them, how they can get involved, and how their work contributes to the enterprise's strategic priorities.

This person will partner closely with executives, business unit leaders, Human Resources, Marketing, and Communications colleagues to ensure consistent messaging and effective communication across channels.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Strategizing with internal stakeholders on different channels to utilize for communicating with employees, such as company-wide emails, targeted employee group newsletters, the Joint Commission internal intranet site, in-office screens, and more.
  • Planning and coordinating quarterly Townhall meetings, which involve executive presentations and panels, and also working with the Employee Recognition Committee (managed by Human Resources) on internal awards programs.
  • Leading enterprise-wide internal communications efforts, identifying opportunities to improve communication effectiveness, and helping establish best practices that elevate the employee experience.

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, public relations, marketing, English, or related field required.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in internal communications, corporate communications, employee engagement, public relations, or related communications functions. Healthcare experience preferred.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills, with experience adapting content for diverse audiences and channels.
