Job Description

Who We Are:

Headquartered in Washington, DC, Versar Global Solutions provides full mission lifecycle solutions for challenges faced by our government and commercial Customers in the natural, built, and digital environments. With team members around the world and a rich legacy spanning more than 50 years, Versar Global Solutions delivers a broad array of planning, analysis and risk management solutions, project and program management, operations and maintenance services, and information technology applications for environmental management and remediation projects, mission critical facilities and installations, and in support of readiness and contingency operations.

Who You Are:

Versar is seeking a full-time Host-Nation Engagement & Integration Director in the Digital Innovations operating unit to support mission-critical planning, coordination, and execution activities across the U.S. Indo-Pacific Command (USINDOPACOM) Area of Responsibility (AOR). Reporting directly to the Senior Vice President of Digital Innovations, the successful candidate will help Versar and its customers prepare for, adapt to, and mitigate geopolitical, logistical, permitting, and host-nation coordination challenges that can affect the speed, agility, and effectiveness of mission execution across the Indo-Pacific region.

The ideal candidate will bring practical experience working across Department of Defense echelons and joint service mission environments, with an understanding of Pacific Deterrence Initiative priorities, theater posture requirements, expeditionary engineering needs, and the operational realities of working with host nations. This role will support advanced planning, real estate and land-use coordination, permitting, stakeholder engagement, and field-level problem solving to reduce friction and improve readiness for projects in logistically constrained and politically complex environments.

What You’ll Do:

  • Serve as the Host-Nation Engagement & Integration Director supporting the planning, coordination, and execution of mission-critical activities across the USINDOPACOM AOR.
  • Assist Program Managers and customer teams in preparing for, adapting to, and mitigating geopolitical, logistical, permitting, and host-nation coordination challenges that affect project delivery.
  • Support advanced planning efforts, including site access, land-use considerations, real estate coordination, permitting pathways, local stakeholder engagement, and field-level readiness activities.
  • Coordinate with DoD stakeholders, joint service representatives, uniformed engineering units, contractors, government authorities, and host-nation partners to support timely project execution.
  • Identify risks, constraints, and decision points that may affect mission timelines, cost, access, approvals, or operational agility, and recommend practical mitigation strategies.
  • Capture field insights and lessons learned to inform improved planning processes, digital workflows, and repeatable approaches for future USINDOPACOM efforts.
  • Travel to logistically constrained and austere locations in the Pacific region to support coordination for mission-critical infrastructure, expeditionary engineering, and related readiness efforts.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, including coordination trackers, planning assumptions, stakeholder inputs, permit status, access requirements, progress updates, and risk mitigation actions.

What You’ll Bring:

  • At least 10 years of progressive experience supporting DoD, joint service, expeditionary engineering, infrastructure, logistics, real estate, permitting, planning, or field coordination efforts.
  • Proven experience coordinating mission support activities in the Pacific region or other complex, geopolitically sensitive operating environments.
  • Experience supporting risk identification and mitigation related to access, permitting, host-nation coordination, real estate, logistics, environmental considerations, and mission-critical infrastructure delivery.
  • Excellent problem-solving, judgment, and decision-support skills in dynamic field environments.
  • Familiarity with project management, planning, coordination, and reporting tools used to manage schedules, risks, actions, and stakeholder inputs.
  • History of supporting multiple concurrent efforts while maintaining clear communication, accountability, and documentation.
  • Ability to provide field-level coordination, planning support, and practical recommendations for technical and program leadership.
  • Interest in developing innovative processes and digital solutions that improve speed, agility, transparency, and cost efficiency across geographically dispersed mission support efforts.
  • Ability to work well within a team environment, maintain a positive attitude, manage competing priorities, and produce high-quality work under time-sensitive conditions.
  • Ability and desire to learn, adapt, and grow professionally in support of Versar’s expanding USINDOPACOM and digital transformation mission portfolio.
  • Must be proficient in English, both written and verbal, to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Successful results of preemployment screenings, including federal background check, MVR, and drug screen.
  • Comply with company drug and alcohol policy.
  • Be authorized to work in the US or will be authorized by the successful candidate’s start date.

Required Skills:

  • Experience working across Department of Defense echelons, joint service organizations, military engineering units, civilian agencies, and host-nation stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of USINDOPACOM mission requirements, Pacific Deterrence Initiative priorities, theater posture objectives, and the operational importance of improving speed and agility across the Indo-Pacific region.
  • Ability to support advanced planning, real estate coordination, permitting, site access, stakeholder engagement, and field coordination in complex operating environments.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills, with the ability to represent U.S. interests professionally and effectively with government, military, contractor, and host-nation stakeholders.
  • Experience preparing and providing briefings, coordination updates, planning products, and recommendations for customers and internal leadership.
  • Experience preparing concise technical, operational, or planning documentation to support customer decision-making.
  • Willingness to travel within the Pacific region, including to logistically constrained, remote, or austere locations.
  • Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and Project; experience with digital collaboration, workflow, or geospatial tools is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify constraints, develop practical solutions, and coordinate across diverse stakeholders to maintain momentum.
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment with customers, consulting partners, contractors, and technical specialists from multiple disciplines.
  • Ability to translate complex geopolitical, operational, engineering, or permitting challenges into clear, actionable recommendations.
