Job Description

Healthcare Contract Management Specialist

The role ensures providers are properly credentialed, enrolled, and contracted with insurance payors so that claims are paid correctly and revenue is not delayed. It serves as a bridge between contracting, credentialing, billing, compliance, and operations.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Provider Enrollment & Credentialing
    • Complete provider enrollment and recredentialing with:
      • Commercial insurance plans
      • Medicare
      • Medicaid
      • Managed care organizations
    • Maintain provider data in:
      • CAQH
      • PECOS
      • NPPES
      • State licensing systems
    • Support audits, roster submissions, and provider directory compliance.
  • Contract Management
    • Maintain payor contracts, fee schedules, and effective dates.
    • Track amendments, renewals, and reimbursement rate changes.
    • Ensure provider directory information is accurate and compliant.
  • Revenue Cycle Support
    • Research and resolve claim denials related to credentialing or contracting issues.
    • Work closely with billing and accounts receivable teams.
    • Identify enrollment delays and implement workflow improvements.
    • Act as the primary contact with insurance payors regarding enrollment and contract matters.
  • Customer Service & Teamwork
    • Provide courteous and professional service.
    • Maintain confidentiality.
    • Collaborate effectively across departments.
    • Demonstrate fairness, integrity, and accountability.

Preferred Qualifications

Education

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in:

  • Healthcare Administration
  • Business
  • Related field

Equivalent experience may be considered.

Experience

Minimum 2 years of experience in:

  • Provider enrollment
  • Credentialing
  • Payor contracting

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Honolulu, HI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
