Lead with Purpose. Make a Difference. Take Care of People. As a family-owned organization serving Indiana communities, we believe exceptional care starts with exceptional people. We're passionate about creating an environment where our clients feel valued, our associates feel supported, and our leaders have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference.

We're looking for a compassionate, results-driven General Manager who shares our commitment to service excellence, strong relationships, and a people-first culture.

Why Choose LifeSpan Companion Care?

We offer competitive compensation, weekly pay, paid time off, and a comprehensive benefits package, including unique offerings like daily pay.

A Family-Oriented Culture

At LifeSpan Companion Care, you're more than an associate — you're part of a team that genuinely cares. As a family-owned organization, we value relationships, celebrate accomplishments, and support one another. Taking care of our team members is just as important as taking care of those we serve.

About the Role

As General Manager, you'll be responsible for operational performance, caregiver recruitment and retention, client satisfaction, scheduling efficiency, business development, and financial results. You will build strong relationships with clients, families, caregivers, referral partners, and senior living communities while ensuring the agency operates in alignment with company standards, regulatory requirements, and organizational goals. You'll play a key role in strengthening our team, supporting operational excellence, and achieving business objectives while keeping our mission — We Take Care of People — at the heart of every decision.

What You'll Do

  • Oversee daily agency operations, ensuring efficient workflows and consistent service delivery.
  • Monitor key performance indicators, including weekly service hours, client census, caregiver staffing, overtime, missed shifts, client retention, and profitability.
  • Develop and execute action plans to achieve agency growth and operational goals.
  • Partner with recruiting and human resources to maintain a strong pipeline of qualified caregivers.
  • Develop strategies to improve caregiver retention, engagement, availability, and reliability.
  • Ensure timely onboarding, orientation, required training, and completion of employment documentation.
  • Oversee scheduling practices to maximize caregiver utilization and meet client needs.
  • Review schedules several weeks in advance to identify coverage gaps, unfilled shifts, and opportunities to establish consistent caregiver-client relationships.
  • Monitor call-offs, missed visits, overtime, and scheduling efficiency.
  • Promote a culture centered on compassion, hospitality, reliability, and personalized service.
  • Ensure client needs are assessed and services are coordinated appropriately within the agency's scope of services.
  • Monitor client satisfaction through follow-up calls, satisfaction surveys, and ongoing communication.

What You'll Bring

Bachelor's degree in business, healthcare administration, management, or a related field preferred; equivalent relevant experience may be considered. Three to five years of leadership or management experience preferred. Experience in home care, senior living, healthcare operations, staffing, or a related service industry strongly preferred. Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage competing priorities, and achieve measurable business results.

Ready to Make a Difference?

If you're a leader who believes that taking care of people is more than a mission statement — it's how you lead every day — we'd love to hear from you. Join LifeSpan Companion Care, where We Take Care of People.
