Full-Time Hourly Assistant Store Manager

About the Role

Join the Store Operations team at Renfroe’s Market as an assistant store manager. You’ll support the Store Manager with daily store operations, customer service, associate coordination, safety, and execution of store procedures. This position is hourly and overtime-eligible.

What You’ll Do

• Help coordinate floor coverage, opening or closing activities, and department priorities as assigned.
• Provide work direction and coaching during a shift; refer hiring, discipline, pay, and other personnel decisions to authorized leadership unless specifically delegated.
• Monitor customer service, store conditions, merchandising, price accuracy, and completion of assigned tasks.
• Respond to customer concerns and operational issues; document and escalate safety, security, loss, or employee incidents.
• Support cash-control, receiving, inventory, and safety procedures within assigned authority.
• Perform floor and department work as needed and follow all timekeeping and meal/rest-period procedures.

What You’ll Bring

Retail or customer-service experience is helpful. Must communicate clearly, use sound judgment, learn store systems and procedures, and work respectfully with associates and customers. Prior leadership experience is preferred, not required unless verified as job-related. Use assigned equipment only after training and when legally authorized.

Your Schedule

This is a full-time position. Must be available for assigned opening, closing, evening, or overnight shifts, including weekends or holidays as business needs require. Regular and dependable attendance is an essential function, subject to applicable leave and accommodation laws.

Pay basis: Hourly, nonexempt. Record all time worked; overtime is paid as required by law.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

Stand or walk, reach, bend, and perform repetitive hand movements as needed for the assigned duties. Handle merchandise, tools, or equipment using safe-lifting methods and team or mechanical assistance when appropriate. Work moves between sales floor, offices, stock areas, and departments, including refrigerated, wet, or warm areas. Duties can involve extended standing or walking, customer interaction, and responding to operational issues across the store.
