Synergy Orthopedic Specialists Medical Group is looking for a detail-oriented Front Desk Representative located in San Diego. Bilingual in English/Spanish is preferred but not required. Basic knowledge of human anatomy and the musculoskeletal system is recommended. A minimum of 2 years of related work experience is required.

Job duties include but are not limited to:

• greetings customers
• nurturing patient relationships
• answering phones
• scheduling appointments
• communicating effectively with physicians and staff
• assisting with insurance eligibility
• obtaining authorizations

Applicant should be able to:

• Greet patients in an engaging manner
• Answer phones effectively
• Nurture the patient relationship to encourage patient retention
• Schedule new and follow-up appointments
• Check insurance eligibility and discuss the cost of service
• Obtain insurance authorizations
• Coordinate appropriate patient care
• Communicate effectively with the physicians and staff
• Data Entry
• Cash and Copay Collections
• Appointment Reminders
• Medical Records
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• A minimum of a High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Basic knowledge of human anatomy and the musculoskeletal system
• Minimum 2 years of hospitality, sales, customer service, or related work experience
• Experience working in a medical office is preferred
• Bilingual Spanish-English skills preferred
• Ability to handle patient's concerns positively and proactively
• Prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to quickly learn new procedures and processes
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• High level of ownership, accountability, and initiative
• Friendly, outgoing, and motivated personality
